Below is a writing slope that has the original wonderful worn embossed leather writing surface. The lid is hinged and has storage inside. This fine antique davenport has a what not design base with two tiers and turned upright supports.

It has a small raised back above a hinged sloping fall front writing surface with tooled leather and moulded edge. It has a moulded cornice above an open section for books and cupboard door. This sits above six small stationary drawers and mirrored back. The top has a moulded edge above a deep kneehole and two set back, cupboard doors along with side turned supports. It has the original decorative brass handles, hinges and the piece splits into three sections for removal.
