Superb quality Antique Writing Table by Johnstone & Jeanes

This Superb Quality Small Inlaid Mahogany Antique Edwardian Bureau dates from ca. 1900 and has the most spectacular interior. It has a beautifully figured cross banded moulded fall front with brass key escutcheon, key and working lock. The interior has a central cupboard, a superb concave bow front selection of five small drawers in satinwood and several pigeon holes / letter racks. It still retains its original/early leather writing insert. Below are four graduating drawers with decorative brass handles, cross banded edges and it stands on shaped bracket feet.

This Outstanding late 19th century Large Victorian Mahogany Desk / Pedestal desk dates from ca. 1900. It has a large inverted break-fronted top with tooled leather writing insert and gadrooned carved edge. This sits above a long central drawer over large knee-hole and each pedestal has four graduating drawers with original brass handles. The sides are curved and canted and this quality desk stands on Ogee carved bracket feet. It has unusual blind fretwork carvings, splits into three sections for removal and has wonderful charm and character.
